A growing number of Alaskans from Wasilla to Kotzebue are turning to solar thermal systems for hot water and space heating. This one-day workshop offered in Anchorage & Palmer is designed for individuals and professionals interested in solar water and space heating installation. It will teach solar thermal design principles and installation techniques for domestic hot water and solar combi-systems in new and retrofit applications. Special emphasis will be placed on control system technology for integrating renewable energy, conventional heat sources and all loads. The benefits of remote monitoring, control, diagnosis and reporting will also be covered. This workshop is part of Alaska Center for Appropriate Technology’s Path to Net Zero Energy Workshop Series.
This workshop is eligible for 6 CEUs for residential endorsement.  Registration required as space is limited.
